My name is Michael J. Myers and I have been a MotorHead from the start. I was raised in South Jersey and have been here ever since. Growing up the difference between most of my friends and I was the location of our toys. When my friends wanted to "play" they went to the toy chest or the closet. My toys were in my garage. Between my dirtbikes, quads and Dad's classic car all I needed was dirt trails and open roads in place of a playground. While I never intended to sit down and begin writing children’s books, for I am a 23-year-old MotorHead, the idea came to me one day and has consumed me ever since. For being a gearhead myself and wanting my son to gain interest and learn about cars, I was very disappointed in the book. Over half the pages are literally just letters grouped together to make engine noises. My son lost interest very fast. I'm glad the book was on sale I guess.
This book is great! It has everything--bright colors, friendly text, and sound effects! I love the adventure aspect, and kids (both young and old) can relate to all of the excitement that the Twins go through. It's a car adventure book that brings the technical aspects of turbos and superchargers to life. Literally. Just buy it already!
Word book for a toddler, but very cute story. Daughter loves when we read it to her and make all of the rumbling noises.
Bought this book before my son was born, and it entertained me! Once my son was born, it quickly became his favorite book. We read the book so much that the pages had to be taped on! I posted a video of my son to Instagram and Mike reached out to me. It was great to see that he cared what an average single dad thought of the book! The only downside is the pages are paper, not cardboard, so the younger readers will need some supervision.
My nephew loves this book. I’ve boight a few to give out. Will be ordering the rest of the series. Will need a turbo car to show my nephews.
I bought this for my pal's son and he couldn't stop looking at it! My friend not his son!!Great book! Many fun sounds to make with your kids! Every car person needs this to read with the kids.
It's a cute book, and although it's got a lot of gearhead humor in it my girls love it because they recognize some of those noises from the real thing.
Finally a kids car book for us gearheads to read to our kids. Will be ordering the others.
