It serves as a good introduction to the basics of fencing.
This text is easy to understand and apply for the beginner. A great reference and study manual with many tips in it.

I would largely agree with the other reviews here. This is a short, basic book but does a good job with the nuts and bolts of fencing. I would recommend for a beginner just starting out or an old-timer, for whom the basic lessons have begun to fade. I like to read fencing books regularly, rereading the better ones again and again. This little book will be added to that rotation. Too bad it's only available in digital format.
Great primer for beginners, as well as those who are interested in the history of fencing. It's a good review of the basics for more advanced fencers, or those coming back to the salle.
