Eustáquio Afonso Araújo, DDS, MDS, is the Pete Sotiropoulos Endowed Professor of Orthodontics, Clinic Director of Orthodontics, and Associate Executive Director at the Center for Advanced Dental Education at Saint Louis University in Saint Louis, Missouri. Dr. Araújo is also Adjunct Visiting Professor at Kunghee University in Seoul, South Korea and at the Pontifícia Universidade Católica de Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte, Brazil. He is a Diplomate of  both the American and the Brazilian Board of Orthodontics. For the past 35 years Dr. Araujo has dedicated his life to academics and the practice of the specialty.Peter H. Buschang, MA, PhD, is a Regents Professor, the Peter H. Buschang Endowed Professor of Orthodontics, and the director of research in the Department of Orthodontics at the Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas. He has been teaching craniofacial growth, development adaptations to orthodontic and surgical treatments, and research design & methodology to graduate students and residents for more than 30 years. Dr. Buschang has mentored more than 150 MS and PhD students, has published more than 270 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, and has also given numerous invited lectures and continuing education courses. He is the only honorary member of both the American Association of Orthodontics and the Edward H. Angle Society.

Most of cases were followed up for long term and amazingly, some had 10~20 years of follow-up pictures. There are so many things I learn from this book (I haven't finished yet). Habit breaking chapter talked in detail about very practical and creative approach (The Araujo approach). I think this information will be also helpful in practice management as well as patient's well being.

However, many of these stories were quite similar, and the book had a tendency to drag.* Hook avoids giving his opinions, but it would have been interesting to hear his speculation on the overall value of art middlemen. Clearly some artists might never have become the “masters” they are today, but you can’t help wonder how many truly great artists never saw the light of day because of the role of the brokers. Similarly, there is not much hint as to how many of the brokers and middlemen were ultimately successful-and how many died with a garage full of their brother-in-law’s still life painting.=== Summary ===The book was a great look at the role of middlemen in the fine arts marketplace. There is no question that they influenced it greatly, and probably were responsible for developing the careers of many of the great artists. We see the brokers at their altruistic best and their conniving worst-often at the same time. Cute book. My 5and 7 year old were into it although I’m not sure how much they got. It’s probably best for an 8-10 year old

I do not have this version yet but am looking forward to it! Such a great story. I can't wait to share it with my 7 year old daughter's teacher.

I have a 5 year old who is interested in everything about the universe and this book was able to put it down to her level and allow her to ask me more informed questions. Overall we love this book and it will be well loved

This book is a fabulous introduction to science for kids. My boys, aged 10 and 8, loved it and afterwards talked for a long while about all the things they could imagine if they were an atom!! I agree with Melissa Rooney, the author - we often underestimate how much our children can understand and will be interested in. This book gives them that chance.

I bought this great book for my grandson who struggles with reading - he liked the look and read it to me. It is a wonderful book and very educational. I plan on sharing it with my new granddaughter.

My son loves this book! It's well written, educational, and the illustrations are cute. The author does a great job making science relatable and interesting without removing the content.

This is an entertaining and educational book for both kids and adults. The author uses simple terms and fun illustrations to explain what atoms, protons and electrons are and what they do.

I bought the book with my 9 year old in mind, and I wasn't too sure my 5 year old would understand much. Boy was I wrong! My 5 year old LOVES the book and asks for it every night at bedtime so he can laugh out loud at the funny illustrations and cheer for Eddie to escape from Erwin, his boring orbit-mate. Meanwhile, my 9 year old impressed her teacher with her knowledge of electrons, protons and neuclei, all after only one reading of the story.I would most definitely recommend this book to anyone with kids that like funny stories (and whose kids don't?).

Thank you so much Brian, this book made my life easier. I was dubious about buying a book to explain how to use GIMP as I am a more visual person when it comes to learning things. However, when I watched some of the YouTube videos out there they went through things so fast I would miss a step and just get frustrated. Not with this book it made creating my own book covers easier and dare I say it more FUN. I had downloaded GIMP awhile ago but had no idea how to use it. I almost never leave reviews but I had to for this one because it simplified the process for me. He is thorough with each step without being condescending. I was able to make a nice book cover within a couple of hours, considering I had to stop and start with the kids in the background that is no small accomplishment. Again, thank you.

This book gives great pointers on creating your own book covers, sizing, placement of objects, and other great tips. The best part, though, was the information on the powerful, FREE software you can download and install on your computer for use in the creation of said book covers. He also provides information on how to use the basic and necessary features of the program and where to get more information (the User's Guide) for other, less used features, but ones that come in handy.

Do It Yourself Book Covers is well written in an easy-to-follow style. Links to cover examples are very helpful. GIMP is not an easy program for the graphically-challenged, Brian has smoothed out a lot of the bumps. The only glitch I found was that the URL to the GIMP Users Guide did not work. This may be due to an address changes since the book's publication.

If you want to get the full benefit of this book, do as the author suggests and go step by step. Otherwise, if you are not computer literate, you may find yourself saying, "huh?" I am happy to have it in my library of reference material.

For a first time eBook author, I found this quite helpful. It answers many of the questions that a typical new author has about developing a book cover.
